Wanting to challenge herself physically, mentally and contribute as much as possible to her homeland, Hilly’s heart was set on joining a combat unit when drafting in Israel’s Defense Force.
Her never ending willpower, immense drive to prove herself and unmatchable capability to reach the aspirational goals she set for herself, all contributed to Hilly’s successful 2 full years of service.
Army Injury
Despite injuring her knee substantially during the intense army training, Hilly followed her never-ending devotion to protect the ones she loved and successfully completed a highly selective screening process in the Karakal unit.
Billy & Oketz
Hilly was accepted to the IDF’s elite K9 unit, ‘Oketz’, and was assigned her beloved dog, Billy, who was known to all as Hilly’s devotee and most dependable partner.
Hilly'd fondness for dogs was undeniable, but Billy had a place in Hilly's heart, and she continued to visit her army K9 even post her army service.
